Caramel Popcorn

Ok, so I posted to my blog a bit too early today
...I just got done taking these precious photos of my 9 month old
along with my new backdrop that I got this weekend.

enjoy the sneak peak

I will post many more photos of her on tomorrows blog.

I made Caramel Popcorn, so easy, so good

You'll need:
1/4 cup white corn syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
2 bags popcorn
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
and a paper bag

Put the already popped popcorn in a paper bag
(I try to get as little unpopped seeds in the paper bag as possible)
In a glass bowl, cook syrup, brown sugar, salt and butter in microwave for 4 minutes.
Take out and add the soda and vanilla, stir.
Pour the entire mixture over the popcorn in the paper bag and stir (I shake)
Fold the bag and cook in microwave for 1.5 minutes.
Spread out on waxed paper to cool.
Store in airtight container...if storing in necessary...mine was gone in about an hour.

I made a single batch...I highly recommend you double, triple or quadruple it...so delish!

Recipe is from a wonderful church cookbook,
Northland Sampler by Laestadian Lutheran Church of Elk River

Your Caramel Corn pictures look soo delish! Have you tried making it with the Old Dutch puffed corn? So yummy!! And easier for the little ones to eat without all the kernals.
