So here's the deal...I've tried cribs and bassinets, and nothing seems to work, my babies (and mom) just sleep best, when baby is right next to mom...though this usually last over 6 months. So this time, I looked into co-sleepers, because my deal is, is if I can't see them, or have to peer into the bassinet I can't sleep. Our bed is so high, that maybe with extenders the co-sleeper would work, but a friend recommend a pack-n-play, with a built in bassinet, and for the fraction of the cost of a co-sleeper, thought I'd try it out. (I picked up a Baby Trend Playard from
Walmart) The height is perfect, just like a co-sleeper, so I'm crossing my fingers that this will work. Even though I LOVE cuddling with my babies all through the night, I don't get the best nights rest. So here is my little nursery nook I put together, in our bedroom. I just LOVE the Itso stack-able shelves and fabric bins, from
Target, to organize baby's things.
and in addition to THIS...last night I picked up my nephews old crib
and here's another story:
When I started my photography business, I turned this room into a studio...and sold the crib that I had used for the last 4 babies, since I really didn't have the storage room for it. That worked out fine for awhile, but we started to feel like we were bursting at the seams...so this room was then used as photography equipment/prop storage and housed a pack-n-play, where Olivia's been sleeping. And for in home studio sessions I've been setting up in the dining room/living room. Well last weekend the room got cleared out and it's now back to a full blown bedroom. I fell in love with the wall decals I found at
Target, but Miss Olivia is having difficulties leaving it alone, and often I'll notice the leaves rearranged, or missing, and it's actually making me quite upset...we'll see if she will learn.

Looks darling!! Might be a lot of work, but just move the tree up a couple of feet and that might do the trick?
You are making me anxious too, and I have forever to wait! :)
Can't wait to meet your little one!
Very cute! My last baby slept in a pack n play bassinet, then in a pack n play for the first 8 months of his life. Then I struggled to get him to sleep in the crib....I had to hang fabric on the sides of the crib so he felt cozy like the pack n play! I had his stuff set up in our room too. Good luck with everything! ~Emily Wuollet
