Labor Day weekend

We spent a beautiful day in Duluth,
with a great group of friends!
It was a wonderful end to summer.
FUN - FUN - FUN
good times with great friends!
the weather predicted lower temps, so I didn't even bother packing swim-suits...I should have known better.
My kids ended up swimming in their clothes, it was truly a beautiful day.
my hubby and I...we just celebrated our 8th Wedding Anniversary (Aug. 23!)
and we are thrilled to be expecting baby #5...you can kinda see my baby bump growing!
God has truly blessed us

By the time I thought of taking a group photo, several families had already left,
and even a few of the ones that were still hanging out missed the photo.

after spending the day at the beach, we went to Canal Park and walked the boardwalk.
It was such a chilly night, but everyone had a wonderful time.
goodness, I can't believe school starts tomorrow,
the kids are so excited!
we'll see how the early morning routine goes for us,
we are not morning people
...this Lee Family loves to sleep in!

Como Zoo

The photo session I had today was rescheduled, so I decided to do something fun with the kids.
We originally thought of going to the beach, it was sunny out,
but I didn't realize that it was only 67 degrees.
So my friend recommended the zoo.

Seriously, today was a PERFECT day for the zoo...and of course everyone and their kids thought the same.
It took us quite awhile to find a parking spot.  We ended up parking on a residential street
and had about a seven minute walk.
We spent about 5 hours at the Como Zoo (packed our lunch)
and just enjoyed the animals, the outdoors and our friends.

The Flamingos were nesting.  I guess they lay one egg a year, it was very neat.

it was fun to check out some of the indoor activities too.
lunch at the park
and then mini golfing
Sure enough, the kids fell asleep...good thing, with work traffic, it took us almost an hour and a half to get home.

Splash Pad

We enjoyed a beautiful day at the Splash Pad in St. Cloud,
it was our first visit there
and the kids can not wait to go back
We went to the Lake George one,
there are three neighborhood splash pads in St. Cloud
visit the city website for more info
Great place for kids of all ages...especially the little ones, no stresses about drowning
fun company to visit with
in addition to the splash pad there are THREE fun playgrounds
