New Backdrops & Sister's

...it can't get better than that,

new backdrops and four adorable sister's!

These girls were wonderful, as I flew through my new backdrops.

I was so excited to see how they would photograph, and I'm beyond thrilled.  

Let me tell you just how happy I am that I discovered 

LemonDrop Stop: Backdrops and Floordrops,

though it is slightly dangerous that they are located just down the road from me, 

I have no problem ordering one here, and one there, cause shipping is not an issue

AND every order comes with a super duper yummy lemon drop

(I'm currently restricted from any further purchases, j/k)

Oh, and their customer service is #1, no kidding, I've never seen better!

honestly, I've lost count...I think I have 20 or so of these 

awesome, AWESOME backdrops.

In addition to this addiction, I've also discovered

Addielynn's Bowtique and Nellie Bugs Tutus & More

both of these lady's are incredibly talented

(making hand-created accessories for all occasions)

and they couldn't be sweeter or kinder.

 I fell in love with this backdrop, as soon as LemonDrop Stop released it, 

and now I'm waiting on a custom made headband, 

from Addielynn's Bowtique to go along with it!

Phoenix, Az

I had a wonderful 6 days in Phoenix, Az!

I have family and friends that live there.  Last Fall a group of them flew me down to photograph their families and we joked that this should become an annual event.  Well, when this Fall came around, the idea was brought up, but I was just feeling too busy to get away.  But in the end, it worked out and I had another fabulous trip and seven fun photo sessions!

My flight was so enjoyable! I left Minneapolis at 7am, and I was able to enjoy an incredible sunrise from above the clouds. I then flew out of Phoenix at 3 pm and saw the sun set, from about the clouds, arriving back in Minneapolis at 8 pm.  It's such an amazing sight, to fly over your home town in the evening, Minneapolis was breathtaking, wish I took more photos, but at that point I was feeling slightly embarrassed, because I had already taken so many photos and video, because I wanted to show my kids that "Mom was up in the sky, flying in an airplane"...I think the guy next to me thought I was nuts.

 I love AZ scenery, so different than what I'm use to.

Seriously, for you Minnesotans, can you believe this is October/November?

Oh, it was so fun to enjoy the sun and summer weather for a few days.

 Happy 1st Anniversary to Crystal Lee Photography

 Last August, I was telling all my facebook friends to contact me if they wanted family photos taken for their Christmas cards.  Since everyone knew that I was really into photography, someone assumed and asked if I started my own business...I hadn't and thought "Well, why don't I"...and I did, just like that!  It's been an amazing twelve months.  I have grown so much as a photographer, and it's my plan to continue growing.

Since I started my business, I've done over one hundred and fifty photo sessions.  I counted about twenty baby sessions, forty children sessions, sixty family sessions, fifteen senior portrait sessions, six engagement sessions, eight weddings and a few others, like, product photography, business head shots and pets.  I'm thrilled to have four more weddings scheduled for this year.  Who knows what the next twelve months will bring, no matter what, I will be taking photos and sharing them with you.  If business gets busier or if business slows down...I'll be doing what I love.

FREE Photo Book

 

Who wants a FREE Photo Book?

I LOVE these photo books!  I use to really be into scrap booking, but the amount of space, cost and time that went into scrapbooks became too much.  I have made nine of my own photo books...currently I'm a bit behind as my last book is dated 2008.  My client photos are so much more organized that my personal photos and I'm really itching to put a book together.  I have tried a few different publishing companies: MyPublisher, Shutterfly, Snapfish, Picaboo, Walgreens, Kodak.  I'm not sure I have a favorite.  I love how easy MyPublisher was, no need to load each photo, you just pull directly from your computer, but I love the creative options Shutterfly has. 

I am offering a FREE 8x8 Photo Book, designed by ME for one of my past clients, or if you have a future session already schedule, please enter the drawing.  Even if you don't have a session scheduled but are thinking of it, please enter the giveaway.
