another day at the Lee household

It was so fun to see the joy on the faces of my big kids
when they walked up the driveway and they saw their baby sister.
Everyone LOVES the baby of the house,
she is just the sweetest thing ever!

my kiddos...Oh, they are growing up so fast!
They are just a fun, wild, crazy group.
I'm so blessed to be their mother.

Today, my 3 year old started, what we are calling "Pre-school"
It actually is an ECFE class, about 3 hours a week, and today was his first day!
He had fun, he's really going to enjoy this special time with mom and at school!
I'm so glad I decided to sign him up.
He is very pleased to have his good friend Ashlyn in his class!

How's school going?

How's school going for everyone?
So far, so good over here...my 3 year old starts an ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education)
preschool class next week and he is so excited.

If you haven't ordered school pictures yet, contact me
and let's set up an appointment to do school portraits.
We can do a family session at the same time,
and then you'll be all set for your Holiday Greeting Card!

I'm booking for October now!

1st day of school

My Big 2nd Grader

and My Kindergartner

Mom & Dad wishing them a wonderful first day at school

Bus Stop Gang

I have an afternoon Kindergartner, so we got to hang out a bit before the bus came
visited with some friends while we waited.
My 3 year old was 'so sad' he couldn't go on the bus,
he just didn't understand why!

OK, so here's where things get a bit crazy...Alynn was so excited that her bus was coming,
but it obviously wasn't her bus, because it drove right on by.
To make sure, I called the bus company and was informed
that, "Yes", the bus was running about 30 minutes behind schedule.
Alynn got so bored waiting for the bus, she asked if she could ride her bike.
"Sure" I said, stay right where I can see you.
Well, I got busy visiting with a friend, and I thought,
"hmmm, the bus should be coming any minute",
well Alynn was no where in sight!
She obviously took off on her bike, down the path, which is NOT ok!
I was getting frantic, plus the 2 three year olds were missing also.
And sure enough, her bus comes.
So I proceed to tell the bus driver that
"my daughter got bored waiting for the bus and must have took off on her bike,
so now I need to go find her, and I'll have to just drive her to school."
As I'm waiving the bus off, she rides up.
I wave the bus down, quickly scold her for taking off like that,
and send her on her way, to her first day of Kindergarten!
definitely not how I planned this day to go, and it bothered me all day long!

I was definitely happy to see her run off the bus was a huge smile on her face!
I was glad to know she enjoyed this special, big day!

how did your first day of school go, any interesting stories?

What a Day!

I had such a fun-filled (busy) day.  Had a 9:00 dental appointment in Brainerd.  Brainerd?, you ask.  Cassandra, my awesomely-beautiful/so cool, step-daughter is just about to graduate from the Dental Assisting Program at Central Lakes College.  She a had a few more requirements to get in, before the end of the year.  So Austin, Olivia and I were on the road by 7am, they both slept the entire way, which was so great.  I had impressions made of my teeth and Austin and I had our teeth cleaned, she was so great.  All the students were wonderful, the entire process took several hours and the other girls were more than happy to watch Olivia (thanks you guys!).  We then went to Subway for lunch, on the way in Cassandra spotted a pile of cash ($15)...that was pretty awesome, though Austin ended up in tears, cause he wished he had been the one to see it.  Then while we waited for Cassandra to finish up with my impressions, we went shopping.  oooh, I love the shops in Baxter.  Among the Pines is an awesome boutique, I'm in LOVE with my new KUT jeans, and cami, and....well, I'm super excited for my new purchases.  Then right next door is Tumbleroos, which has the coolest stuff for kids.  I got Olivia the cutest pair of Robeez for summer.
If you're ever in the area, you definitely need to check these shops out!

Love my new KUT jeans...and aren't those shoes going to look ADORABLE on Olivia?

Cassandra is attending CLC and will be graduating from the Dental Assistant Program.
Here she is, doing her thing!
Cassandra, I'm so proud of you...you did awesome!
